Newer Times Copyright and DMCA Policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026

This policy only works once change T5 is done: the agent below must be registered with the U.S. Copyright Office before it is published.

1. Our approach

We respect copyright and expect members to do the same. Only post photos, videos, music and other material you created or have permission to use. We respond to proper notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. 512.

2. Reporting copyright infringement

If you believe something on Newer Times infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent with all of the following:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you believe was infringed.
  3. Where the material is on Newer Times, such as a link to the post, photo, clip or profile.
  4. Your name, mailing address, phone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn't authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.

Designated agent: William Nicholson, Newer Times LLC, 8 The Green #27201, Dover, DE 19901, legal@newertimes.com, (631) 902-7157

We will remove or disable access to the material and tell the member who posted it. Notices that are missing required information may not be acted on. Someone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages.

3. Counter-notices

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, or that you have permission to use it, you can send our agent a counter-notice with all of the following:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. A description of the material removed and where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you're outside the U.S., any district where Newer Times may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.

We will send your counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action, we will restore the material within 10 to 14 business days after we received your counter-notice.

4. Repeat infringers

We will terminate the accounts of members who repeatedly infringe copyrights, in appropriate circumstances. A member who receives three valid copyright notices is treated as a repeat infringer.

5. Other intellectual property

For trademark concerns, or anything that isn't a copyright notice, contact legal@newertimes.com. Reports of intimate images shared without consent are handled separately, under our Report an Intimate Image process.
